Here's how easy it is to play...

Ambler-BlueBell foursquare is a fun cell-phone game that can help you get FREE stuff around Ambler and Blue Bell.

And it's FREE to sign-up for the game.

The object of the game is to accumulate points by stopping by restaurants, cafes, clubs, and stores around Ambler and Blue Bell. Any place and every place is in the game.

Once you get there, all you have to do is check-in on your cell phone (it takes about 30 seconds) and you accumulate points. Get badges and perhaps become the mayor if you have the most points at any location.

Many restaurants and businesses give away FREE stuff to any player that checks-in from that location. And the mayor gets even more goodies.

To get started, go to foursquare.com and sign-up for your FREE game page. Then get the mobile app for your iPhone, Blackberry, Android, Palm, or other devices and phones.

Then begin collecting points by checking-in at restaurants, cafes, clubs, and stores around Ambler and Blue Bell. It will take less than 30 seconds when you check-in, and you can leave text messages for other players.

It's easy and fun - get started and play foursquare!

How To Unlock Your World With Foursquare on Howcast

Where are my friends?

When you first connect to foursquare, you see a list of your friends, and what they're up to.

How does foursquare know what your friends are up to? They have checked in and left comments with their accounts.

How does it know who your "friends" are? You can friend people in foursquare, or just import your Facebook friends.

Oh, the places I see!

Press the Places button at the bottom of the screen and this will bring up this list of venues near you.

How does foursquare know where you are? It uses your phone's GPS.

The list of venues includes, bars, cafes, restaurants, stores, and other locations.

Where you at?

Click the venue you're actually in to bring up this screen; now press Check-in here

You set how public you want your check-in to be: foursquare can tell your friends within the game, Twitter, or Facebook.

You're in!

That's it! You're in. You can see who else is in the same spot, and you will be awarded points for your check-ins

You can also see who is the mayor of the place you're in -- that is, who has checked-in the most frequently.

What else is around?

Look at a venue on Google Maps, and search for nearby tweets from Twitter.

Leave tips for others

The Tips tab shows you suggestions for what to do at this venue; you can also add your own.

You can also keep a "to-do" list of tips you want to follow in the future.

Earn badges!

You can earn badges based on your check-ins.

There are badges for total number of check-ins, for checking in to the same place repeatedly, for checking-in to many places in a single night, and so on.

Embrace the competition

Here's the game aspect: you can see a leader board of all of your friends and how many points they have this week.
